Voting for President-Elect & Treasurer

We are pleased to report that we have our slate of candidates for the President-Elect and Treasurer positions. There are 4 candidates for the President-Elect and 2 for the Treasurer. Please take this opportunity to vote for the candidate who you wish to elect for each position. You can only vote once and one candidate for each position.

President Elect Candidates are as follows:

  2. Jung-Ah Lee, PhD, RN, FGSA, FAAN
  3. Mijung Park, PhD, MPH, RN
  4. Lixing Song, PhD, RN, FAAN

Candidates for the Treasurer are as follows:

  2. Donna-Marie Palakiko, PhD, RN, APRN

Voting begins on August 26, 2021 and closes on September 26, 2021. You will have the ability to access your ballot to cast your vote until 5:00 pm Pacific Time on September 26th. Please be sure to check your Junk or SPAM folder in verifying receipt. Once your vote has been casted, you will no longer be able to access your ballot. All votes will be strictly anonymous and confidential.

Call for Nominations- President Elect & Treasurer – Extended Deadline August 3

AAPINA National is Seeking Nominations for President-Elect & Treasurer

President-Elect: The President-Elect position requires the elected member to serve for two years, followed by taking on the President’s role for another two years and finally, serving as the Past-President for two additional years. Duties and responsibilities of the President -Elect are outlined in the AAPINA Bylaws.

Treasurer: The Treasurer requires the elected member to serve for four years. Duties and responsibilities of the Treasurer are outlined in the AAPINA Bylaws and procedures.

Eligibility/Qualifications:

According to the AAPINA Bylaws, nominees must meet the following qualifications. These qualifications will be used for screening the candidates (nominees):

· A nominee for an elective office shall be a member in good standing at least one (1) year prior to election.

· A member in good standing is one whose current dues are paid (national and if applicable, local dues), who complies with the provisions of the Bylaws, and has full voting rights and privileges.

· The nominee must have demonstrated active participation in activities of AAPINA for at least one year.

· A nominee may be a candidate for only one office at any given time, and if holding an elected office, may not be a candidate for another office unless the current term expires at the time of elections.

  If you are an active member of AAPINA National and you would like to nominate an individual who meets the eligibility/qualifications for the elected position, please complete the Nomination Form below and send to the Nominating Committee by August 3, 2021 at 5:00pm Pacific Standard Time (PST). Incomplete nomination form will not be considered.
