Responsibilities:

The School of Nursing in the College of Science and Health at DePaul University seeks to fill a full-time Non tenure-track faculty position for the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program. This is a 10-month position at the rank of Clinical Assistant or Clinical Associate Professor with a start date of September 1, 2024. The successful candidate will primarily instruct in the DNP curriculum, significantly contributing to the advancement of nursing education, research and practice while aligning with DePaul’s mission rooted in Catholic and Vincentian higher education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Role Modeling: Uphold the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to all constituencies, and active support of the University’s Mission in Catholic and Vincentian higher education.
  • Instruction: Deliver didactic and clinical training to nursing students, primarily in the DNP and MSN-specialty programs. Adjusting teachings based on experience and qualifications.
  • Curriculum Development: Engage in course creation, revision, and submission of syllabi in the required format, ensuring an assessment of student outcomes and development of instructional resources.
  • Leadership: Serve as the lead faculty for primary courses and mentor to adjunct faculty members.
  • Advising: Offer academic and career counsel to graduate nursing students.
  • Service: Actively participate in committee work, both within the School of Nursing and across the wider university community.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Sue & Bill Gross School of Nursing at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) is seeking stellar applicants for the position of Assistant Adjunct Professor. Under minimal supervision of the Associate Dean for Research (Office of Nursing Research and Innovation), the full-time Assistant Adjunct Professor will provide statistical consultation/support for School of Nursing faculty and doctoral students (~40%), help prepare research proposals and reports, presentations, and manuscripts (~40%), and provide consultation, training, and teach graduate level courses (~20%).

Position responsibilities:

  • be proficient in the use of statistical packages including SPSS, SAS, STATA, MPlus, R
  • be able to conduct complex analyses that can accommodate mixed and multi-level data and repeated measures, observed and latent variables, missing data, and a broad range of distributional characteristics
  • conduct independent consultation with faculty and doctoral students in the planning and implementation of data analysis
  • work collaboratively with faculty to provide statistical support for research projects and proposals, including calculation of sample size, development of statistical analysis plans for grant submissions, evaluation of analysis approaches appropriate to data characteristics, statistical analyses, development of programs and macros to facilitate analyses, and written, tabular, and graphical summaries of statistical results
  • organize and direct the implementation of a regular statistical consulting clinic or office hours for doctoral students in PhD and DNP programs
  • prepare written summaries and explanations of analysis methods and statistical results for presentations, reports, publishable manuscripts, and grant proposals
  • teach graduate-level basic and advanced statistics courses for health sciences graduate students
  • share supervision of junior statistical staff with the Associate Dean for Research and lead statistical support teams on designated research projects

The Sue & Bill Gross School of Nursing at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) is seeking stellar applicants for the full-time position of Health Sciences Clinical Instructor. Successful candidates will be primarily responsible for teaching in the DNP and FNP programs; undergraduate and graduate level pre- licensure courses may apply.

Clinicians interested in pursuing an academic career in a dynamic and diverse growing School of Nursing should apply. We are seeking clinicians who have experience in primary care women’s health and obstetrics and graduate level online education.

REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must have a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree, as well as an active and unencumbered California RN license, California NP Certificate, NP Furnishing Number, and DEA Registration, in addition to national board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) with expertise in primary care women’s health and obstetrics. Candidates must demonstrate excellent clinical and communication skills. Candidates may have experience with clinical teaching and mentorship. Experience with clinical and didactic teaching, underserved or Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) clinical settings, and evidence of scholarly activities preferred.

Qualified applicants must have the demonstrated ability to work with a diverse group of colleagues and to teach and mentor a diverse student body.
