We are pleased to announce that Jessie Kwan (Rutgers University School of Nursing) and Min-Chun Ashley Yang (University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing) have been selected as recipients of the AAPINA Scholarship Program Award (Prelicensure Student Category).
This recognition highlights their outstanding academic achievements, leadership, and dedication to advancing nursing within Asian American and Pacific Islander communities.
At the 2025 AAPINA Conference in July, we celebrated our first AAPINA-DAISY Nurse Leader Award. The inaugural recipient is Dr. Linda Kim, PhD, MSN, RN, PHN, CPHQ, CGNC, Associate Professor and Director of the Center for Global Nursing and Health at The University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing. Dr. Kim was honored with both the DAISY Nurse Leader Award and the AAPINA Outstanding Service Award for her dedicated service as AAPINA Secretary during 2023–2024.
