The Future of Nursing: Campaign for Action is proud to feature Alona D. Angosta, PhD, APRN, FNP-C, president of the Asian American Pacific Islander Nurses Association (AAPINA), to highlight the history, mission and vision of AAPINA. Angosta is also a member of the Campaign’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Steering Committee, which advises the Campaign on diversity and equity issues.

Patricia T. Alpert, DrPH, MSN, FAANP, past-president, AAPINA, and dean of nursing, Arizona College, Las Vegas Campus.

Participants will:

  1. Discuss the health needs of Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities.
  2. Learn about AAPINA’s efforts throughout the nation to promote a Culture of Health and health equity by mentoring and supporting nurses and students through research, practice, policy and education.
  3. Learn how AAPINA members and chapters can collaborate with the Campaign’s state-based Action Coalitions to promote the health and well-being of AAPI communities.
