AAPINA DAISY Nurse Leader Award

We would like to propose the introduction of a new recognition program under AAPINA in partnership with the DAISY Foundation: the AAPINA DAISY Nurse Leader Award.

1. Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a current full member of AAPINA for a minimum of two years
  • Must currently hold a leadership position or have demonstrated leadership skills in nursing research, education, service, or clinical practice.
  • Must be a nurse with a current and active license to practice in their jurisdiction.

2. Application Requirement

Each application packet must include:

  • A current CV
  • Two letters of nomination
  • A 500-word self-statement describing how the nominee has promoted and meaningfully contributed to the nursing profession – through research, education, service, or clinical practice – by applying leadership skills or serving in leadership roles.
  • Note: Self-nominations will not be accepted. All nominees must be nominated by another individual.

3. Application Deadline: May 31, 2025, at 11:59 PM EST

Please provide the complete application information electronically in one e-mail (ATTN: AAPINA Daisy Nurse Leader Award). The complete package should be sent to the Awards Committee Chair, Dr. Heeyoung Lee at scholarshipandgrants@aapina.org and specify AAPINA Daisy Nurse Leader Award in the subject line of the email.
